IQ CAMBRIDGE/PARK LIFE
IQ Cambridge is set in 112 acres of landscaped grounds, featuring lakes, lawns and a nature reserve, providing an unrivalled environment for business. The park is accessed by a network of footpaths, cycle tracks, lakeside jetties and decks, as well as a boardwalk that stretches out over the central lake, a popular lunch venue for park employees.
BOARDWALK CAFÉ / CONFERENCE CENTRE
Whether you want to snatch a speciality coffee and pastry, arrange a breakfast meeting, a business lunch or a seminar with full catering, you'll find state of the art facilities at the Boardwalk Café and Conference Centre. It offers a Starbucks coffee shop, a licensed bar and a café with a hot and cold menu. Takeaway sandwiches and a delivery service are also available to Park occupiers.
Two interlinked conference rooms - Parkside and Lakeside - are available, capable of accommodating 12 to 20 persons respectively, or over 30 in combination. Both rooms are wired for video conferencing and broadband internet access, and are equipped with a portable 50" LCD screen with built-in speakers. Facilities can be booked on an all-inclusive basis, by the hour, day or half-day.
COMMUNICATIONS / CAR SHARING
The Park plays its part in reducing traffic congestion and emissions in Cambridge and environs by running a shuttle bus service for occupants between Waterbeach rail station (2 miles) and the Park, and arranging car sharing schemes for those travelling to work from Milton, Histon and surrounding villages.
An OYBike stand - from which users can hire and return cycles by means of a mobile phone call - has also been installed in the Park for users making local journeys, and there are plans to extend the network in the near future.
SOCIAL / BUSINESS COMMUNITY
The Park hosts summer barbeques and a variety of social and recreational events for the Park's occupiers, which are always well attended, providing staff with the opportunity to meet and mix in a friendly environment.
The Park's on-site management has also forged close links with many regional industrial associations and inward investment agencies, such as EEDA, East of England International, ERBI and UKTI. As a result, the conference centre is a popular venue for networking events and industry/business seminars in which Park occupiers are able to participate.
WILDLIFE RESERVE
With its 32 acre nature reserve, which combines a wild life lake, a willow wood and open grassland areas, IQ Cambridge is a significant departure from a typical business or science park. The nature reserve has been preserved intact - as the natural habitat of resident species like Golden Oriels and Great Crested Newts - and is open to anglers, photographers and bird watchers.
